Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

Photo Exhibition „Secrets of Mires” in the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia 11/06/2013 15:33

From June 11 to July 1, the project's photo exhibition "Secrets of Mires" is placed in the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia. Large-scale photographies with mire nature values such as habitats, plants and animals can be seen on the entry of Palm house. Pictures were taken in different places of Latvia and abroad by many mire researchers and project participants.
